When named Optimum, the company's image was that of a modern, independent new release and back catalogue distributor. Films were released under four strands: Optimum Releasing (Theatrical New Releases), Optimum Home Entertainment (DVD, Blue-ray Disc and HD DVD New Releases), Optimum Classic (DVD Re-releases of back catalogue films) and Optimum World (New and Back Catalogue World Cinema). The latter three appear to be still being used, despite the company's name change.
They released over 200 films a year and were one of the most prominent distributors in the UK independent film and world cinema market since the closure of Tartan Films in 2008.

why?
 We have chosen these to as possible distributors for our film. Both distribute mainly in thrillers. our film is going to be psychological thriller. We have decided to pick these distributors because they are low budget film distributors that invest heavily in British and American film industry. This will enable us to work closely with the chosen British distributors so we can increase the sales of our film by advertising our film with posters trailers and merchandise which we can sell online and in stores also at theme parks. This is because the distributor is responsible for ensuring a full line of film advertising material is available on each film which it believes will help the exhibitor attract the largest possible audience.

we have made a decision on which distributors we will use to distribute our film consequences. Metrodome distribution and Columbia pictures will be our film distributors. We made this decision based upon their wide range of technology such as film, TV and digital distribution. We could use this to our advantage to sell the film to a wider audience by selling our films and promoting our films through Metrodome and Columbia. Also with the company being a London based trade company we can branch out of our regional boundary to a larger scale national boundary. this will be extended by the American distributors Columbia pictures making our film a world wide creation. we can also use Colombian pictures to involve owners such as drinks company's to product placement of our film product this will increse our promotion for our film. which will involve a larger audience to go and watch out film.
